Nespresso Coffee Machines
The Essenza Mini is a great option if you're looking to make your favourite coffee drink at home, but don't have much counter space. It's the smallest espresso machine that still makes excellent tasting espresso.
All Nespresso machines need periodic descaling to remove internal mineral buildup. They notify you when it's time to descale and can usually be easily cleaned.
1. OriginalLine
OriginalLine is the classic line of Nespresso that uses hermetically sealed pods. These machines are the most affordable and produce espresso and coffee. They also offer a wider selection of capsules and drink options than VertuoLine machines. However, if you prefer larger drinks, you'll want to choose the VertuoLine line instead.
The VertuoLine is a more recent line that uses more advanced techniques and specifications. It is more efficient than the OriginalLine. They provide a greater variety of brew sizes like 0.85 ounces for ristretto, and 1.35 ounces for double espresso. They also have a faster process called centrifusion, which rotates the pods at 7,000 RPM so that more water to pass for better extraction.
In addition to enhancing the technology, VertuoLine has also increased the number of capsules that are reusable and has introduced a more sustainable packaging system. They currently use an 80% recycled aluminum in their coffee capsules, and are committed to increasing the percentage of recycled and low-carbon virgin aluminum in future products.
The Lattissima Pro coffee machine is one of the most efficient nespresso machines on the market. It features a quick heat-up time and a touchscreen display for customizable settings. It also comes with the ability to steam effectively for creating cafe-worthy foam and milk texture. It may not be as compact as other nespresso models, however, it is simple to clean and has an ejectable capsule.
2. Vertuoline
The Vertuoline is a recent addition to the Nespresso line-up. It is the only machine to make espresso as well as coffee. coffee press machines has a built-in frother for milk. This is a great choice for people who enjoy diverse black drinks but do not want the hassle of making them separately.
Vertuoline machines have a different pod system than the OriginalLine line. The pods are marked with barcodes that the machines can detect to determine the amount of the beverage (ristretto or cappuccino), and add the right amount of water. In terms of quality in terms of quality, the Vertuoline machines create crema that is more reminiscent of the thick foam you find in a traditional coffee shop rather than the light Crema found in the OriginalLine machines. The OriginalLine machines have the best taste however, due to the fact that they create 19 bars of pressure in order to better extract the flavor from the espresso ground.
The more modern VertuoLine machines also utilize a process known as Centrifusion to spin the capsules more quickly and more evenly than Original Line machines. This increases the speed of water infusion and enhances the quality of the beverage. It also allows the Vertuoline machines to operate at lower temperatures that reduces extraction time and boosts the strength of espresso.
3. Original
This entry-level Original machine makes the perfect choice for those with little space or a budget. It has smaller tanks and capsule container, but can handle 19 bar of pressure. This is enough to make the espressos and coffees that most people buy Nespresso for.
The machine has a minimalist black design. The top-facing buttons control all functions from turning it on to rinsing or making a cup. This is a standard procedure in Nespresso machines. It makes them easy to use and understand.
Another advantage of this model is that it can be used with milk, and it comes with a jug to make drinks that have foam added. It also has 11 different milk temperature settings for customizing the texture of your coffee or latte, and it can make both long and short cappuccinos and lattes.
The model has buttons that are labeled to make it easy to choose beverages. The base of the capsule holder also has raised squares to control the amount of pressure applied to each pod in order to create the size you want. This lets you manage the amount of pressure applied to each pod and can also help you determine when the machine needs to descale. The machine can also be used with capsules from different brands, like Dualit's Nespresso compatible capsules.
4. Creatista
This is the machine you need should you be looking for a Nespresso that can make milk-based drinks and espresso. It's the newest addition to Nespresso's Creatista line and is made by Breville (known as Sage in Europe). Sage, Heston Blumenthal’s company manufactures the machine, while Breville developed the thermocoil heating system.
The most interesting feature of the brand new Creatista is its automated steam and frothing system. Set your milk pitcher in front of the temperature sensor, which is located beneath the wand and the machine will handle the rest. It comes with 11 options that allow you to alter the texture of your milk. You can also manually freeze your milk if prefer the traditional method.
The Creatista's rapid heat-up is another great feature. It is able to reach temperatures in only 3 seconds, which is more efficient than other Nespresso machines. The design of the machine is sleek and beautiful and has a brushed body made of stainless steel that looks amazing on any counter. The high-resolution display provides easy navigation when setting up, preparing and maintaining the machine. It's available in four colors including sea salt, black truffle, damson blue, and the stainless steel version. The Creatista is also small, measuring 6.7 inches by 15.4 12 inches (WxDxH). It's the smallest Nespresso machine on the OriginalLine, so it should fit easily on any counter.
5. CitiZ
This elegant espresso maker from Nespresso occupies less counter space than similar models. It also comes with a fold-away cup tray that can be used to fit larger mugs and recipe glasses. This is an excellent feature for smaller kitchens, and it makes it easier to use the machine for larger recipes. The 19 bar extraction system makes it easy to make cafe-style dishes and the quick heating up is a further benefit.
The CitiZ Basic doesn't come with a milk frother. You can purchase one on its own or as part of the CitiZ&Milk Bundle. This bundle includes the Aeroccino steamer to make creamy lattes and cappuccinos. This model can be used with capsules that are reusable, but they are not included.
It comes with a large water tank of 1 liter and containers for used capsules that can hold nine to eleven capsules. Contrary to the Pixie model, this one does not automatically eject used capsules after the brewing process; you must raise and lower the holder in order to get them out.
The machine is simple to operate and the sleek design makes it easy to clean. This model comes with an option to descale, but there's no designated indicator or button, and the process can be confusing. Nespresso recommends using its own descaling solution after 300 - 1200 cups, depending on the hardness of your water. The drip tray and water tank can be removed for easy cleaning.
6. Gran Lattissima
Gran Lattissima espresso and milk machine is a top-quality, single-serve espresso machine. It has a contemporary elegant design, with matte and high-gloss finishes, stainless steel accents, and an integrated glass touch panel. It can make a variety of milk and coffee recipes at the push of a button, such as Ristretto, Espresso, Lungo, Cappuccino Latte Macchiato, Cafe Latte, Flat White, Foamed milk and Hot Milk. It can be used with OriginalLine and 3rd-party Nespresso pods (does not work with VertuoLine or Starbucks by Nespresso capsules).
One of the main distinctions between this model and the earlier Lattissima Touch is that the latter has 9 drink presets, and only two of them are not milk based drinks. It does not have the option of choosing your preferred texture of milk for a specific recipe, however, you can do this on the Lattissima Pro.
This model also comes with a washable and reuseable milk container, which means you don't have to fret about obtaining fresh milk or buying an additional appliance to use the machine. It is easy to clean and can be empty in seconds into the sink.
Another excellent characteristic of the Gran Lattissima is its energy-saving function and speedy heat-up. It is heated in just 25 seconds and has an enormous reservoir of 44 oz. It's also easy to remove the drip tray and froth jug for cleaning. It's also simple to keep your machine in good condition with regular descaling cycles as well as automatic cleaning cycles.
